About the workshop
The first workshop, JWPS2012, was held in November 2012 at Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, and aimed to gather together scientists working in China and Japan at the forefront of research on positron science in order to share information on the most recent progress in relevant fields. One year later, a second workshop, JWPS2013, was held at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), in Tsukuba, Japan. The third workshop, JWPS 2017, was held on June 9–11, 2017 at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), Hefei, China. The latest workshop, JWPS2019, was held on October 10-November 2, 2019 at Nara Kasugano International Forum IRAKA, Nara, Japan.
These Japan-China joint workshops provide valuable opportunities for exchanging ideas and the discussion of a wide range of subjects including positron science, material science developed/analyzed by positron techniques, and measurement techniques, etc. In particular, the workshops provide a good opportunity to promote international exchange between young researchers in positron science, thus making an important contribution to the future development of this research field.
